Famima - Santa Monica
I'm a big fan of snacky foods. Picked this one up as I was shopping at the Santa Monica Promenade the other day. Kombu is slimey-thick kelp that works well with plain rice. When I went to pay for it, the cashier asked, "Seaweed?" I replied, "Uh, no... kombu."
What she meant was whether I wanted a side of dry seaweed or not... I guess not everyone is a fan.

I love Famima. The West Hollywood location is much cleaner/nicer looking than the 3rd street one. I heard they are opening one on Venice/Overland. I figured out what Famima means... it's related to a convenient store in Japan called FAMILY MART. I guess if you say that really fast and fobby...you get FAH-MI-MAR haha.
what? you have to buy the nori separately?!
that's wack.
